Mission: UWYV supports the youth of North Central Massachusetts to be the cultivators of change in our community. Vision: UWYV will inspire and engage all young people to unlock their full potential through practical experiences that build on their passion, skills, and desire to make a difference within their communities. - By 2022, this vision will be available across all of North Central Massachusetts. - By 2027, this vision will be available across all of Massachusetts.

What We Do

UWYV invests in young people ages 10-22 across K-12 schools and at Mount Wachusett Community College, by providing them with all the tools necessary to create civic-minded organizations, clubs or businesses. A Venture can be any youth-created, youth-led organization designed to provide a positive lasting benefit. A major goal of the program is to reach and support any young person who has an idea of how to make a difference and the dedication to make it happen. Participants are granted access to a variety of resources including facilitated trainings, a network of like-minded youth, grant and scholarship opportunities and up to $1,000 in seed capital.
